Energy Cluster North Savo was awarded the Cluster Management Excellence Label Bronze –  a significant recognition for systematic development work

Energy Cluster North Savo has been awarded the prestigious European Cluster Management Excellence Label Bronze.

This recognition is granted to clusters that have demonstrated sustained, goal-oriented, and systematic development efforts and operate in accordance with international quality standards. The evaluation was based on a comprehensive review of the cluster’s strategy, management, governance, services, and collaboration structures in comparison with European benchmark clusters.

Receiving the Bronze Label is a significant milestone in the development of the Energy cluster. Since 2020, the cluster has grown steadily and successfully brought together energy sector actors in the region to build a shared ecosystem that meets the sector’s evolving needs and opportunities. The recognition strengthens the Cluster’s credibility both nationally and internationally and increases visibility for the region’s energy technology expertise.

The Label  Bronze provides a strong foundation for the Cluster’s future development, supports business growth, and deepens collaboration both regionally and internationally. It highlights the Energy Cluster’s role in strengthening expertise, networks, and innovation in the energy sector.

The implementation period of the Energy Cluster North Savo project is 1st of October 2022 to 30th of June 2026 and it`s financed by the The Regional Council of North Savo association through the European Regional Development Fund. In addition, the project is financed by the municipalities, cities and companies in the region.

The main implementer of the project is the Varkaus City Development Company, Navitas Business Services, and the Savonia University of Applied Sciences and the Savo Vocational College are the co-implementers.
