Save the date 25th November 2022 for Re4Industry (Renewable Energies for Industries) project's dissemination seminar arranged by Savonia UAS in co-operation with ESEIA. (Att. This is an update for earlier announced date 6th Sept 2022.)

The main objective of the project is to facilitate for the energy intensive industry (EII) sector in Europe a smooth and more secure transition to the adoption of Renewable Energies (RE) in their production processes and facilities. The project will guide the EIIs and their organisations in their path for a total decarbonization towards 2050 by providing vision and guidance to establish their long-term strategy for a coherent and more secure retrofitting an integration of current and future RE solutions in their facilities and processes.

Climate Friendly Bioenergy Solutions

Time: 14.—25.9.2020

BioeconomyThe two week programme arranged by Eastern Finland Universities together with Tanzanian partners and ESEIA network consist of lectures, company presentations, individual assignments, workshops, supervised group tasks and presentation group work results.

The student will receive comprehensive overview of environmentally friendly bioenergy solutions (by lectu-res and company presentations) and they will apply their knowledge for preparation a proposal of adapting European environmental friendly technology in Africa.

  • Soil improvement and circular fertilizer products
  • Possibilities to utilize ash as such or purified by proper processing for fertilizers and earth construc-tion materials

Study objectives

The focus of the Master Degree Programme in Energy Engineering is to educate professionals in engineering and business management in the field of international energy engineering projects. The aim of the programme is to create highly skilled specialists for the following fields of expertise: managing international technology projects and supply chains, developing advanced energy production systems, intercultural communication and language skills, and specialized themes in engineering.

Curriculum of degree programme in energy engineering has been drawn up, so that

  • the degree produces the degree of competence required in work life
  • the education ensures the development of the student’s expertise
  • the education enhances lifelong learning

The student

  • draws up to support his/her studies an individual study plan in which earlier acquired competence is identified is responsible for
  • the progression of his/her studies.

Savonia’s teachers and other personnel facilitate and support in the defining and achieving of individual goals. The student starts the planning of the thesis in during the first semester.

The competence objective is that the student is able to evaluate and make use of national and international networks. In addition, she/he creates multiprofessional partnerships in energy engineering field. She/he is able to direct and develop partnerships and brings one’s expertise in interdisciplinary networks/groups.
