With the actions of Energy Cluster North Savo, we support companies operating in the region as pioneers in the transformation of the energy sector and in the goals of the green transition.
The goal of Energy Cluster North Savo is to strengthen the vitality of the energy industry ecosystem of North and Central Savo and the entire Eastern Finland and to promote the attractiveness of locating in the region by creating opportunities, by conveying valid information about megatrends in the energy sector and opportunities to develop business operations in a more sustainable and carbon-neutral direction with various financing solutions.
The core functions of our cluster are to develop and strengthen a significant ecosystem in the energy and technology sector and encourage companies to engage in R&D and promote the development of carbon-neutral innovative technologies. At the core of the cluster’s core activities, the region’s excellent energy and technology educations enable consideration of business orientation in terms of availability of skilled labor and continuous learning.

Energy Cluster North Savo promotes and supports e.g. in terms of hydrogen economy, carbon dioxide recovery and the innovation of new energy storage systems through R&D innovation groups, stakeholders and cooperation networks.
Cluster activities support the needs of the business world in particular
of outgoing innovative and intelligent solutions, open operating models and experimental,
the development of piloting, demonstration and learning environments and research infrastructures and
shared use.
On a practical level, we want to create opportunities and promote the development, piloting and commercialization of companies’ carbon-neutral products, materials, services and production methods.
A regional and unique on a European scale, the Energy Research Center offers product development and testing as well as training services in the areas of energy production, transmission and distribution as well as energy storage.
